Welcome to the 2013 Season
Last season was another exciting and great year where the competition, the play–offs and All–Star games were all played in a feverish and competitive manner resulting in some games that will be remembered for years to come. Our Spirit Competition was also fantastic and the girls and guys who competed put on a show that made all the parents, guardians and coaches beam with pride.
2013 is looking to be even bigger and better than ever before.
Welcome to the Jefferson Young Mustangs, the Selma Saints, the Junior Volunteers, and the San Antonio Beast – all new to NAJIFF this season. We are sure they will make NAJIFF better and stronger and this will be a start to some new rivalries for years to come.
This year we are introducing a new imitative titled, "Football/Cheer Coach Challenge." Basically, this is nothing more than a body weight reduction program where teams have the opportunity to enter as a team and compete against other leagues to see who can lose the most weight. Teams and the Football Coach and Cheer Coach who lose the most will be rewarded at the end of the season. Rules will be passed out at the May General Assembly meeting.
So why are we doing this? As most of you know, our coaches are the role models for our kids. How a coach walks, talks and acts are big influences on our kid's future and this includes their appearance. We want our NAJIFF kids to stay in school, stay drug free and always fight obesity. This program will incentivize our coaches to take that first step to better living and better health as well as showcase how important is to fight obesity and look fit and good.
NAJIFF looks forward to another great season and with your help and recommendations, 2013 will be another great season!
